Terms and conditions for Little Lantern.

These terms apply to Little Lantern, available at littlelantern.online, and operated by LJ Capital OÜ, registry code 16835445.

Little Lantern provides personalized digital bedtime storybooks, optional audiobook narration, and optional short animated story recaps for parents or legal guardians.

The service is intended for adults acting as parents or legal guardians. Children should not create accounts or manage subscriptions themselves.

You must provide accurate account, billing, and child profile information. You are responsible for keeping account access secure and for activity under your account.

The service uses information you provide, such as a child's name, age, friends' names, chosen story character or avatar, favorite animal, color, language, region, regional book style, delivery time, and optional bedtime details, to personalize stories.

Only provide child information that you are legally allowed to provide. Do not add sensitive health, identity, school, location, or other unnecessary information unless it is required for the service and you have a lawful basis.

Current signup uses character selection instead of child photo upload. If a photo-upload feature is reintroduced later, it must only be used by a parent or legal guardian with the legal right to provide that image.

Little Lantern uses AI systems and related service providers to draft, illustrate, narrate, and animate story content. Outputs are not deterministic and can vary between runs.

We design prompts, age bands, and automated checks for child-safe bedtime use, but AI output should be treated as generated content. Parents remain responsible for deciding whether a story is suitable for their child.

A free account is created first. After the child profile and plan choice are complete, the 7-day free trial starts.

If no payment details are added, paid delivery does not begin automatically after the no-card trial. Paid plans are available as monthly subscriptions or one-time purchases per child according to the option selected at checkout.

Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled for future billing periods. Access to already paid service periods or one-time purchases may continue according to the checkout option unless otherwise required by law or shown in the account or payment provider flow.

Prices are shown in euros. Taxes may be calculated during checkout depending on your location and the payment provider's tax configuration.

Payment processing is handled by external payment providers such as Stripe. Their checkout interface may present additional payment terms, payment method rules, and authentication steps.

For EU consumers, statutory withdrawal rights may apply to online purchases. Digital content and digital services can have special rules when performance starts during the withdrawal period.

Where required by law, checkout or account flows request the necessary acknowledgement or consent before paid digital generation or delivery starts. Once personalized digital stories, audio, or video have started generating or have been delivered, refund or withdrawal rights may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This does not affect mandatory consumer rights, statutory remedies for non-conforming digital content or services, or rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

You may not use the service to create unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, sexual, exploitative, discriminatory, or unsafe content.

You may not submit prompts or child information intended to identify, locate, profile, exploit, or endanger a child. We may refuse, suspend, or remove content or accounts when needed for safety, legal compliance, provider requirements, or platform integrity.

Requests involving protected characters, brands, games, films, or other third-party material may be transformed into original, non-copying story ideas. We do not guarantee exact use of protected material.

Subject to these terms, your paid plan status, and applicable law, generated outputs are intended for personal family use unless a separate commercial agreement says otherwise.

You are responsible for making sure any names, references, prompts, uploaded material, or use of generated content do not violate third-party rights, personality rights, privacy rights, or applicable laws.

A parent acknowledgement cannot grant Little Lantern rights to copy protected third-party characters or brands. The service may instead create an original inspired direction suitable for personal bedtime use.

Story delivery depends on generation providers, storage, email delivery, payment providers, and scheduled jobs. Delivery times are targets rather than absolute guarantees.

Purchased packages are intended to be delivered complete: Storybook includes the storybook, Audio includes the storybook and page-by-page narration, and Animation includes the storybook, page-by-page narration, and an animated bedtime highlight.

If a required part cannot be generated or delivered, we may retry, replace the story, delay delivery, or provide another reasonable remedy depending on the issue and applicable law.

For eligible consumer disputes involving an Estonia-based trader, consumers may contact the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority or the Consumer Disputes Committee. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

These terms are governed by Estonian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.

Disputes fall under the competent courts or consumer dispute bodies available under applicable law.
